AGE REQUIREMENTS
To join our regular surf courses, you need to be at least 10 years old and know how to swim. During the summer, we also offer family surf lessons and accept younger kids in company with their parent.

SURF COURSE - LEVEL 1
At H-Bay Surf House, we offer learner-friendly waves, crystal-clear waters, and jaw-dropping nature, making Hoddevik the perfect place for beginner surfers. Whether you're stepping onto a board for the first time or need a fun refresher, our Level 1 course is tailored to help you build confidence in a safe and relaxed environment. This course is also ideal for anyone who’s surfed before but wants to brush up on the basics.Our lessons are held on the stunning white sands of Hoddevik Beach, just a short walk from the surf camp. It’s a beautiful spot to get started and learn the fundamentals of surfing in a scenic, laid-back atmosphere.
SURF COURSE - LEVEL 2
Surf Level 2: Ready to step it up? In Level 2, we take it to the lineup and aim for green waves. This level is perfect for those who can already ride whitewater and are looking for new challenges. With the majestic mountains surrounding the bay and the pure Norwegian nature, Hoddevik provides the ultimate setting to elevate your surfing skills.

When is the best time to surf? At H-Bay Surf House, we surf year-round! Hoddevik’s waves are perfect no matter the season. In the summer, expect smaller, fun waves and warmer weather, while the winter months bring more powerful surf and that exciting cold-water experience. With the right gear and guidance, surfing here is always a memorable adventure. After a good session, unwind in the cozy atmosphere of the camp, where you can share stories and relax with other surfers.

Want to surf on your own? We’ve got you covered with a range of high-quality gear rentals, including wetsuits, shoes, gloves, and nearly 60 surfboards (from 7'6" to 8'6"). You don’t need to be a camp guest to rent our gear – we’re all about sharing the stoke with everyone who’s passionate about surfing!
